The Big 4 Affiliate Networks

on Wednesday, August 29, 2012

Affiliate marketing is one great way to make money online. You can do it part-time or full-time and all you have to do is sell someone else's product!

If you are new to the affiliate marketing world you need to join an affiliate network. This article from
Suzanne E Morrison will list the big 4 affiliate networks.

1. ClickBank (www.clickbank.com) is an excellent network to join. This network is extremely easy to use and sells mainly digital download products. You are paid every two weeks and you earn much higher commission than on other networks!

You will be able to market over 10,000 products, but beware of the competition. Internet marketers that are experienced tend to market these products above other affiliate networks, so you will be competing with some of the best.

To be successful with this network you need to first market your specific niche of your site. If your niche is video games or world travel, those are the products you need to be marketing!

2. LinkShare (www.linkshare.com) is one of the oldest affiliate networks on the internet. This network was bought out by Japanese Portal Rakuten for $425 million. They offer products from many of the top Fortune 500 companies, so there will be no problem finding products and services to promote from your niche. You will receive a monthly check for your commissions.

3. Amazon (www.amazon.com) is an amazing affiliate network to join if you are looking to sell products from your website. They have excellent stats and it is easy to create links and place them on your webpage. You are also given the ability to create your own store with Amazon Stores.

Amazon offers lower commission rates than other networks but the sales are easier because Amazon is a well known online company. You are paid monthly by Amazon for your commission.

You can buy some product from Amazon with simple ways by click ads on this blog too. I'm very recomended that. :)

4. Google (www.google.com/adsense/) is a company that few think of when they think of affiliate networks. However, their AdSense program does offer products. You will not have as many products, but Google is definitely a business to join.

Typical affiliate links or products will return 10 times what Google AdSense will, so most marketers will not put these on their primary pages. However, you will earn a good return in the long run by placing them on less targeted pages.

Amazon, ClickBank, Google, and LinkShare are 4 of the top affiliate marketing networks on the internet today. Joining any of these top affiliate networks will help you start your own affiliate business an be successful with it!

Make Money Online With Affiliate Marketing Using A Blog

on Wednesday, August 22, 2012

Affiliate marketing is probably where you will earn the greatest amount of money on your blog – over time – unless you are selling your own products. While other forms of revenue from your blog are more ‘passive’ in nature, affiliate marketing is more active.

Let’s look for just a minute about ‘passive’ activity and ‘active’ activity. Running Google Ads on your site is passive. Running ads from the networks is also basically passive. Selling links is even passive, as it takes very little of your time or attention.

Affiliate marketing, on the other hand, is not passive. Affiliate marketing on blogs is not done with banner ads and such. It isn’t even really done with text link ads. Instead, you have to learn how to use your blog posts to pre-sell the affiliate product.

Shop Amazon's New Kindle Fire

After your blog is set up with various sources of revenue, this is where the majority of your work is done – making blog posts and recommending related affiliate products in those posts.

The post has to be conversational, personal, and push the product without appearing to push the product. Nobody wants to be sold to, and they did not come to your blog for the purpose of reading a sales letter – they came to be entertained or informed.

I suggest that anybody who is starting a blog read and study a few writing courses. You must learn how to engage your reader, while getting your point across.

The other option is to choose your affiliate programs, let a ghostwriter know which program you want to push, and hire them to write your post. Ghostwriters already have the experience to engage a reader while pushing an idea or product in a smooth way.

When you post what you have written, make sure that the link to the affiliate product is ‘clickable.’ It’s a turn off for your readers. You should essentially create a text link.

Now, what affiliate products should you promote? You can promote any product that is related to your topic. It is a good idea to take an affiliate marketing course. When you write your post, make sure that you apply the product to your own life or experience.

You can find affiliate products, in numerous categories, from the following networks:

1. ClickBank - http://www.clickbank.com – Has thousands of digital products, in numerous categories to choose from. Each merchant pays different percentages on sales.

2. PayDotCom.com – http://www.paydotcom.com – Has thousands of products, mostly digital. Percentages paid by each merchant differ.

3. Commission Junction – http://www.cj.com – Offers mostly tangible products. After joining Commission Junction, you must apply for the programs that you want to promote separately, from within the CJ control panel.

4. Link Share – http://www.linkshare.com – Mostly tangible products. Each merchant pays different percentages on sales.

5. Share-A-Sale – http://www.shareasale.com – Tangible and digital products. Each merchant pays out different percentages. With the exception of PayDotCom, your earnings are paid by the network – not by the merchant. PayDotCom merchants are responsible for paying their affiliates, and those funds are paid directly into your PayPal account. Make sure that you pay attention to how much you will be paid per sale. Some products simply are not worth promoting because they don’t pay out enough. Look for products that pay out 50% of the sale price or more.

Affiliate marketing most likely will not provide instant income. To make money online with affiliate marketing, you have to build a readership. You have to build trust and credibility with those readers, and then, you have to choose the right products to promote to your audience. Be patient – affiliate marketing and blogs is a match made in heaven, and this will pay off well for you in the end. source

Five Mistakes Affiliate Marketers Make

on Monday, August 20, 2012

Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate's own marketing efforts. The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as 'retailer' or 'brand'), the network (that contains offers for the affiliate to choose from and also takes care of the payments), the publisher (also known as 'the affiliate'), and the customer. The market has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and specialized third party vendors.

Affiliate Marketing is one of the most effective and powerful ways to earn a living online. Affiliate programs give everybody a chance to make a profit through the internet. Since these affiliate-marketing programs are relatively easy to join, implement and pays a commission on a regular basis, more and more people are now willing to join in this lucrative business.

However, there are also pitfalls in the Affiliate Marketing business. These common mistakes may cost affiliate marketers a large chunk of their profit everyday unless they are avoided or rectified. Here, we will enumerate the five most common mistakes that Affiliate Marketers make.

Mistake #1: Choosing the wrong affiliate products
Most people want to earn from affiliate marketing as soon as possible. Pick a product that appeals to you. Do some research about that product and determine if they are in demand. Choose a product that you will promote passionately.

Mistake #2: Joining too many affiliate programs
Since affiliate-marketing programs are so easy to join, you might find that you have nothing to lose if you join multiple affiliate programs. The best way to get excellent results is by joining one program that pays at least 40% commission.
Mistake #3: Not buying the product or using the service

As an affiliate, your job is to promote a product or service effectively and convincingly and find customers. For you to effectively promote and recommend any product or service, you must be able to relay to the customers its benefits. One common mistake that affiliate marketers do is failing to try the product and service. Thus, they are not able to promote and recommend the product or service convincingly and fail to create a desire in the customer to buy or avail of the product or service.

Try the product or service personally, before you sign up as an affiliate and see if it delivers what it promises. If you are using the product or service personally then you can credibly promote its advantages and benefits.
Mistake #4: Signing up for low-paying commissions

Although affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways to make some profit online, not all affiliate programs pay high commissions. There are programs that can pay as low as 1-2%. Look for an affiliate program that have a 30% or higher commission payouts. Another way to create income in affiliate marketing is looking for programs that give residual payouts.

Mistake #5: Disposable Customers

As an affiliate, you work hard to find prospects and convince them to purchase or avail of the product or service. However, what happens after that customer purchases the product? Building a good customer list is one of the effective strategies to increase your profit.

Take the time to analyze your affiliate marketing efforts and see if you are on the right track. With the right strategies and techniques, you can maximize the potential of your affiliate-marketing program and earn higher profit.

Affiliate Marketing = Extra Income

on Sunday, August 19, 2012

Affiliate Marketing is the fastest growing industry on the Internet today. Extra Income made through this channel runs into billions of dollars yearly. Many people get involved in it without a solid plan for success. Indeed, many want to earn extra income using affiliate marketing, albeit without a real base plan, which is the most important reason for most being unsuccessful at it. Do you really look at any earning without understanding or planning the future of any business, be it at work or at earning extra income?

Don not be under any misconceptions, though affiliate marketing is an easy and entertaining way to earn extra income, it is serious work, and just like any other job that requires effort, perseverance, and above all, a clear line of sight and plan of action from start to finish line.

1. Home Office Setup
The most important step to take before becoming an affiliate marketer is to set up your base – little home office you’ve always wanted.

You can find many resources on the internet about ergonomic design. Ergonomic because anyone intending to spend a major amount of time working on their computers need space which promotes good posture at the same time takes care of safety issues involving their office workspace.

2. Learning the Trade
Nobody gets into work untrained. Putting in a nutshell, no one hires you for giving you a free extra income without basic training. There are many professional affiliate marketers already earning a substantial extra income, who would be willing to teach you by passing o their knowledge so that you can augment the extra income they are already earning. The internet also offers a lot of resources and conference time tables which you can attend to learn.

3. Goals
The major problem that plagues most affiliate marketers is that they tend to set themselves unrealistic goals by being over confident about their skills and plans. This results in becoming disenchanted very quickly due to non attainment of goals. Being realistic removes a lot of pain in this context. For example a goal of $5,000 a month realistically attainable, but a first time affiliate marketer is not likely to attain it when starting up. source
